Through the PhD project, The Settlers – Towards New Territories for Design, a growing amount of data has been collected: facts, stories and discoveries. It is time to give it – this bodyless mass of information – a form, a material.
28 terrestrial plants are banned from trading and cultivation in Norway. Are these plants destructive and dangerous beings – or could they are also be misread and mistaken?
Through observation, new aspects of the environment such as natural patterns, processes, and interactions between different species and ecosystems become visible. I have some reflections on my first encounters.
